What You’ll Do
The Senior Manager FP&A is responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic insights to senior management, by developing complex financial models, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive informed decision-making across the organization. Help to oversee budgeting, variance analysis, and performance reporting while mentoring junior FP&A team members and driving process improvements within the function. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis, incorporating market trends and business strategies.
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis, explaining deviations from budget and forecast, and proposing corrective actions.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations summarizing key performance metrics and insights for senior leadership.
- Strategic Decision Support:
- Partner with business leaders across departments to identify critical business drivers and evaluate potential strategic initiatives through financial modeling and analysis.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to track performance against strategic goals.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and evaluate team performance.
- Foster a collaborative work environment within the FP&A team.
- Process Improvement & Automation:
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial planning processes, including data automation and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with IT teams to improve data integrity and reporting capabilities.
- Implement new financial planning tools and methodologies to enhance analysis accuracy and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a financial planning and analysis role, with a proven track record of success in a complex business environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- Proven expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions to inform decision-making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present financial information to senior executives and cross-functional teams
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of financial analysts
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle EPM, software, and data analysis tools
- Understanding of business operations, key drivers, and industry dynamics
