What You’ll Do
This is your opportunity to play a crucial role in overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of our organization's data warehouse infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass managing a team of skilled data engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our data warehouse systems, and be a big part of something big.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Define team goals, set performance metrics, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Data Warehouse Architecture: - Design and implement scalable and efficient data warehouse solutions, considering the organization's current and future data needs.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies for data storage, processing, and retrieval.
Data Integration: - Oversee the integration of data from various sources into the data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
- Implement and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for efficient data movement.
Performance Optimization: - Monitor and optimize the performance of the data warehouse, addressing bottlenecks, and ensuring optimal query response times.
- Work closely with the team to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly.
Data Governance and Security: - Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulations.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data within the data warehouse.
Collaboration: - Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall organizational objectives.
Continuous Improvement: - Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data warehousing.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data warehouse processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data engineering and data warehouse management.
- 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams
- In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and database technologies.
- Experience with .Net and Microsoft SQL Server
- Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouse solutions (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
