What You’ll Do
This is your opportunity to lead our recreational vehicle inventory specification data strategy as a Data Product Manager. You will bring deep industry knowledge, technical expertise, and strong product management capabilities to drive the development and optimization of our vehicle specification data platform and be a big part of something big.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive strategy for recreational vehicle inventory specification data collection, validation, and management
- Act as the primary technical and domain expert for recreational vehicle specification data across the organization
- Design and oversee the technical roadmap for vehicle specification data products, ensuring accuracy, comprehensiveness, and market relevance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and data science to identify opportunities for data enhancement and new product development
- Conduct in-depth market research to understand emerging trends in recreational vehicle specifications and inventory data
- Create detailed product requirements documents (PRDs) that capture complex technical and business requirements
- Develop and implement data quality standards and validation processes for vehicle specification information
- Manage relationships with key industry partners, data providers, and stakeholders in the recreational vehicle ecosystem
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in product management within automotive, fleet, or commercial/recreation vehicle industries
- Demonstrable expertise in recreational vehicle specifications, inventory data, and market trends
- Strong technical understanding of vehicle data taxonomies, specification standards, and data management principles
- Proven track record of launching data-driven products
- Analytical skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in data management platforms and tools
- Experience with databases, data modeling, and specification management systems
- Familiarity with automotive data standards (e.g., ACES, PIES, STARS)
- Strong data analysis and visualization skills
- Knowledge of recreational vehicle ecosystem and inventory markets
- Strategic thinking and vision
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Adaptability in a rapidly evolving technological landscape
- Customer-centric approach to product development
Bonus Points:
- Previous experience in trucking, fleet management, or automotive data services
- Experience with machine learning and AI applications in data management
- Understanding of emerging technologies in vehicle specification and inventory tracking
